Congratulations on your new 15-pipe alto panflute! Treat it with love and it will give you joy for many years.
Your new pan flute has 15 tubes and its largest pipe is the note G. I have tuned your pan flute to the key of C (do-re-me starting on C) to match your included book and CD.
Your beginning instruction book is written for a slightly smaller 12 pipe instrument in the key of C, so the lowest pipe used is your 4th largest pipe of C.
In other words, the book does not use the first 3 pipes of your instrument. Of course later you will use all the pipes, but just for the sake of this beginning book, your lowest note is C.
